Derek Taylor - Chairman

Derek has spent the past forty years in the software and computer services industry. In London in the late 80s he founded Holistic Systems which delivered high performance Business Intelligence systems to organizations around the world. At its peak Holistic employed over 350 people worldwide with multiple offices in the USA, Europe and in Asia. Holistic Systems was acquired by Seagate Software in 1996.

Since leaving Seagate Derek left has been an investor, advisor and Chairman for a number of software companies and charities.

Derek brings to Antivia a wealth of experience in the development and growth of successful software businesses.

Mark Hudson - CEO and Founder

Mark Hudson has over 15 years experience in the business intelligence world in operational, leadership and product management roles.

A serial entrepreneur, Mark sold his first venture, Blue Edge Software, to BusinessObjects in 2001. He then spent a number of years working for BusinessObjects in senior roles within the Product Group and latterly as Business Development Director and member of the management team in Australia.

After leaving BusinessObjects, Mark joined the Executive Team at Edgewing, a data integration specialist, as Business Development Director. After Edgewing was acquired by BusinessObjects, Mark left to set-up Antivia.

Donald MacCormick - Chief Product and Marketing Officer

Donald has been an active member of the business intelligence community for over 20 years and is well known in SAP BusinessObjects circles. At Antivia, Donald is responsible for bringing products to market that enable SAP customers to get more from their investment in business intelligence technologies.

Immediately prior to Antivia, Donald served for 2 years as VP Product and Engineering at ClairMail. ClairMail is a leading provider of mobile banking and payments solutions, based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Previously, Donald spent 20 years in the BI industry, serving in a variety of senior product management and marketing positions for SAP, BusinessObjects, Crystal Decisions, Seagate Software and Holistic Systems. At BusinessObjects, Donald was heavily involved with the acquisition of Xcelsius (now known as SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards) and has always been a vocal advocate for the product in the marketplace.

Over the years Donald has spoken at many industry events and participated in panel discussions in a wide range of BI related topics.

Paul Vallender - CTO

Paul has over 15 years experience developing commercial software and brings extensive knowledge of all aspects of enterprise application development and technology architecture to his role as CTO of Antivia. Paul maintains a deep understanding of the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise platform and its Software Development Kits.

Paul first worked with Mark Hudson at Blue Edge Software, where Paul was the technical architect and lead developer for info-portal, a product which extended the BusinessObjects product set by publishing personalized, actionable reports to 1000s of information consumers. After Blue Edge was acquired by BusinessObjects, Paul assumed technical architecture responsibility and managed a multi-center development team responsible for the Broadcast Agent Publisher product.

Earlier in his career Paul worked for Intuitive Systems who developed client/server applications for the financial services industry.

Nick Johnston - COO

Nick has spent over 30 years in operational roles, mainly in the finance and technology sectors. After 10 years driving technology improvements in a major UK bank, Nick joined Mark at Blue Edge Software to run the operational side of the business. He continued working with the team after it was acquired by Business Objects.

After leaving Business Objects, Nick launched, developed and sold two services-based businesses. Prior to joining Antivia, Nick was CEO of a UK national trade association, where he oversaw a phase of modernization and improvement.

Nick is actively involved in his local community - Halifax, Yorkshire - where he advises on business and regeneration initiatives.
